The search for a desk

So the search has begun for a desk, is going to have to be one of the first piece of furniture I buy as I work from home a lot.  The contenders so far:

First one is from John Lewis, it fairly timeless and looks practical - but I also like the slightly industrial feel to it.  Would fit well with whatever else I decide to do in the study.

More stylish design, but maybe not one for spending hours at and possibility I won't like it next week!  From Made.com.
